A Little Hattitude Photo by Aaron Dougherty Nancy Ann Gill-Pardue, director of sales and marketing for Fort Worth-based Superior Livestock Auction and Superior Productions, is known for her fine wardrobe of western wear. She grew up in the ranching industry and didn’t get the nickname “Fancy Nancy” for nothing. She’s also an FOT, “friend of Trent,” as in Trent Johnson, owner of Colorado-based Greeley Hat Works. When we put out the call for favorite hats, Gill-Pardue offered up the custom design given to her as a wedding gift from the noted hat maker. The Competitor style in ivory felt features a custom brim and crease. Nancy switched out the wedding-appropriate hat band for a rattlesnake skin complete with rattles, real and decorative. Inside the hat is inscribed the couple’s wedding date and Nancy’s new name as a Mrs. Learn more about Trent, Greeley Hat Works and the art of the custom lid on Page 12.
