COMING ATTRACTIONS Arhaus Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams Z Gallerie The home furnishings stores at The Shops at Clearfork take up a large chunk of real estate at the 500,000-square-foot shopping center. North Carolina-based Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams says it plans to open Sept. 1, as all systems are go. We visited the store mid-August and even with wrapped windows the space was light and bright. Fall lines are on the floor — everything is made at their North Carolina factory — and it’s hard to walk past chairs covered in Tibetan wool without wanting to sit down and snuggle up with a good book. The vignettes are nicely laid out, which is how we spotted the Franco Media Sofa. With its deep seating, it can easily hold several people (big or small) and a few pets with room to stretch out. It starts at $5,320. Don’t forget to check out the Comfort Club, a new loyalty program that gets you 20 percent savings plus special offers and benefits such as early access to sales, after-hour appointments and complimentary in-home design services. Under construction nearby are Z Gallerie and Arhaus. Z Gallerie offers more contemporary looks; think lots of mirrors and metallics. But their seasonal goods can be fun. We loved last fall’s white glass pumpkins. Arhaus (pronounced “our house”) carries eclectic styles and a line of outdoor goods along with vintage-inspired pieces. If you’re looking for a more global feel — baskets, textiles, brass accessories, Moroccan rugs — you will find something at Arhaus. The Shops at Clearfork at Edwards Ranch Road and the Chisholm Trail Parkway. FINDS West Elm The Brooklyn-based home and accessories store gives the Crockett Row at West 7th shopping center a more urban feel. At the busy intersection, its bold exterior and signage hold up during the day. At night, the lit-up shop is a mecca for pedestrians and other passers-by. Inside, it’s a browsers delight even if you aren’t in the market for a new sofa or dresser. The 10,502-square-foot store features the majority of merchandise made at the company’s Brooklyn headquarters, with some sourced from global artisans. Open-display shelving makes it easy to mix and match everything, from plates to textiles. Look for holiday gifts with a give-back component in the coming months. 2869 W. 7th St., 817-810-9078, westelm.com. ON THE MOVE Sally Lynn Home Owners Ragan Lynn Aguilera and Oscar Aguilera are on the move this fall with a hopedfor mid-October opening in the Shops of Southlake. (They’ll be between Nordstrom Rack and Calico Home at 1465 E. Southlake Blvd., Suite 601.) Graduates of TCU, they lived in Mexico before returning to North Texas to set up shop. They have built up their retail and design business and now have outgrown their space. Meanwhile, check out sales — and new arrivals — at their current location in Village Center at 2120 E. Southlake Blvd., sallylynnhome.com.
